No one ever uses the standard service calculation for a multi family dwelling unit. The service would be about twice what is would be with the optional method. If you are asked for a standard service calculation for a multi-family dwelling, consider the source.

The technique of solution is to take the reduction for cooking appliances, add the house load and you're there.
